Our 2014 robot was built with a strong drive train for good defense power as well as a web-styled catcher and a shooter.  After catching the ball from an alliance robot, we can shoot it out of the web and into the scoring box.
Trivia-How our robot got its name “Smokescreen”:

We scored in autonomous mode, then caught a ball in the catcher and shot it out into scoring box. All was going great. At end of match, bot started smoking as wires short-circuited. We rebuilt the bot entirely with the exception of the compressor in less than two and a half hours. After missing only one match we made it back into the competition and won the next match!! GREAT teamwork! A fantastic comeback from a difficult situation. As one inspector said, “This is the most complete rebuild I’ve ever seen during a competition.”
