Our rookie robot, used to compete in the 2010 season, Breakaway. We used a pneumatic cylinder to propel a custom fabricated aluminum backing that was used to cradle the soccer ball, and shoot it across the field.

As can be seen in several photos, we made a mesh comprised of packing tape in mid regional competition to affix on top of our robot because the soccer balls had potential to becomeĀ entrapped within our frame perimeter.
